How can patients ensure they are prepared for their filler procedure?

Preparing for your dermal filler treatment has such an effect on your downtime and quality of the results. Our clinicians ensure to explain in thorough detail what is to be expected of the treatment, including how much downtime and how to care for the area post-treatment. We ensure that our patients have ceased certain medication or multivitamins, like aspirin and fish oil, for at least 5 days prior and post-treatment.

What are your 3 aftercare tips?

At Ageless Clinics, we believe that aftercare is just as important as the actual injectable treatment itself. For any dermal filler treatment, its crucial to manage and perform infection prevention with personal hygiene being an important part. It’s also a great excuse to enjoy 24 hours of relaxation, with exercise to be avoided. Reviewing and monitoring post-treatment is also important; that includes educating the patients to spot any red flags (such as blanching). To reduce downtime and post-treatment side effects such as bruising and swelling, we always recommend the use of Arnicare.
