 My name is Dr Ro and I am the Medical Director of Cairns Cosmetic Clinic. I feel we are more of an Integrative Cosmetic clinic which is different to the norm in that as well as injectables we offer a holistic skin as well as personalised medical treatments that promote wellness, vitality and longevity. As well as a, antiwrinkle, HA fillers, collagen biostimulators - PLLA/ PCL, we also offer Cynosure 's Vivace fractional RF microneedling + Ultracel Q HIFU which are both great for skin tightening, fat contouring and improving skin texture. We also have the Dermalux Tri wave MD LED system, Hydrapeel- hydra microdermabrasion machine with organic vegan skin infusions, V2 injector gun with PRP/ skin boosters, Storz medical shockwave for cellulite reduction and erectile dysfunction. I am also interested in pelvic floor health both for men and women so we have just launched the EMsella chair by BTL to improve pelvic floor function. I also offer a long consult to go through all aspects of a clients health and then can formulate a treatment plan to include diagnostics, injectables, skin treatment plan, certain supplements, IV infusions and bespoke compounded hormone replacement therapy. 


How do you use ultrasound to improve patient safety?

Having been an injector for 9 years or so, I take safety very seriously. I use the Clarius L20 ultrasound to help identify the different layers of the face as well as the arteries to improve safety. I have also found it useful for identifying old filler that needs to be dissolved. The ultrasound can also be used to identify vascular occlusions if need although I havent had to use it for this reason. (To read more about vascular occlusions click here)

Why do you think male rejuvenation this is becoming more popular?

I think this is for many reasons. Primarily we are living in an ever increasing image driven culture with a pressure to look absolutely flawless. I think also that these treatments have evolved so much over the last few years that the results we can obtain with dermal filler previously could only be obtained with plastic / maxillofacial surgery. We really can achieve some remarkable results in men with jawlines, chins, temples and cheeks to give a non surgical facelift/ balance the profile. I shall also shortly be completing my training in penis enlargements to complement my male enhancement treatments.
